Property Description
Built in 1910, this renovated home has a contemporary flair while retaining its original 'Craftsman' style touches. Just two blocks from the downtown shops of Sugarcreek Village, THE CORNERSTONE is located in a quiet residential area. You can easily slip into a more relaxed frame of mind as you watch Amish buggies trot by. Guests have the use of the entire first floor. Beverages and snacks are always available, as well as a guest refrigerator. Two tastefully appointed rooms are available - each with a private bath. A full, bountiful breakfast is served in the dining room or on the porch, based upon guest preference. |

Bicycling / Jogging Trails (20 minutes) - Holmes County and Sippo Valley Rail Trails, plus the Ohio to Erie Canal towpath trail are located within an easy drive.

Children's Activities (5 minutes) - An Amish Farm open to the public has buggie rides, 2 homes and barns open for viewing along with farm animals, etc. Orchards, cheese houses, & festivals.

|
Golf Course (5 minutes) - Willendale 27 hole course is 3 miles away, plus several other excellent courses located nearby.

|
|
Horseback Riding (10 minutes) - Horseback riding stable available in nearby community of Charm.

|
|
Museums / Galleries (5 minutes) - Alpine Hills Museum is 2 blocks away plus Amish 'Behalt' Center is nearby in addition to many fine crafts museums & galleries.

Nature Preserves / Trails (5 minutes) - The Norma Johnson Nature Center is located 3 miles away on Hwy 39 and The Wilderness Center in Wilmot is 18 miles with extensive trails and large Nature Center.

Other Activities (On Site) - Touring the countryside to watch the Amish families farm their land using draft horses, etc. Also many fine Amish-made furniture stores, crafts, quilts & antiques.

Wine Tasting (5 minutes) - Breitenbach Amish Winery is located nearby (3 miles) with a large selection of wines, tasting room, and a Dandelion Festival in May.

SMOKING is restricted to the outside porches and grounds.
PETS are acceptable in one of the guest rooms. THIS MUST BE DISCUSSED WITH THE INNKEEPER IN ADVANCE. Pets must be under 25 pounds and be kept on a leash when outside the designated room.
CANCELLATION requires a 48 hour notice. If less than 48 hours, the innkeeper reserves the right to charge for the first night's stay.
ROOMS can be reserved with a credit card number (Mastercard or Visa).
THE CORNERSTONE does have a resident dog - Mocha - who is elderly and quiet!

Directions to The Cornerstone Bed & Breakfast
THE CORNERSTONE is located at 306 W. Main Street; on the corner of Main and Third Streets in Sugarcreek Village.
If approaching from Interstate 77, take Exit #83 and head west on State Highway 39 for approximately 8 miles to Sugarcreek. Turn left at the light at the intersections of 39 & Factory Street. Travel about 3 blocks to Main Street and turn right onto Main. Travel about 3 blocks and turn left onto Third Street and make an immediate right into our driveway!
If approaching from the community of Berlin, head east on Highway 39. As you enter Sugarcreek you will continue through the light at the intersections of Highway 39 and 93 but will veer to the right just one block after going through the light. This is Main Street. Continue on Main Street, turn right onto Third Street and make an immediate right into our driveway. |
