5-8pm. Lectures by Jennifer Yerdon LeJuene, an artist from Monongah, WV. Jennifer Yerdon LeJeune received her BFA in 2001 from The College of Saint Rose in Albany, NY with a concentration in oil painting and a minor in Art History. She is also well versed in drawing and silk screen printing. In 2007 LeJeune joined the faculty of Fairmont State University as an Assistant Professor of Art where she teaches Art Education, Senior Capstone, Foundation courses, and is the advisor to the Art Education Club. She is an active member of NAEA National Art Education Association and WVAEA West Virginia Art Education Association and was named the 2013 Higher Education Art Educator of the year. And Miyuki Akai Cook, an artist from Huntington, WV. She writes, My work focuses on balance and dilemma caught between human society with all mechanical development and human as a part of nature. I often use disposable items and trash with traditional materials and techniques to express todays human society.
