Union Flag Display

Nov 11, 2012
1-4 Tues/Sun. More than 300,000 Ohioans served in the Union Army during the American Civil War. They served following flags representing their regiments and batteries and those flags became symbols of their courage and sacrifice. No greater honor could a soldier have than to be a member of the color guard and carry or guard a regiment flag. The Ohio Historical Society has agreed to loan the Sherman House Museum the opportunity to display the 10th OVC battle flag which is part of the Ohio Statehouse Battle Flag Collection. Staff from the Ohio Historical Society will be on hand to give the history of the flag.

Cost: $6 adults, $2 children
