Raku-A Play in Two Acts....

2-4pm. Act1 - November 1st. The Making. This session will be 2 hours devoted to making two objects per student. Object choices are a cylinder vase or free form bowl. Each registration completes 2 items. These objects will be relatively large. This workshop is for people of all ages and skill levels. After completing the art pieces, participants sign up for a time of their choice for the Firing the following week. Act 2 - The Firing. Students arrive at their assigned times with siblings, grandparents, dogs, marshmallows etc in tow. Aesthetic decisions are made, glaze is applied and Carol fires the objects before our very eyes. This takes about 45 minutes. Fun is had and the most beautiful piece of art ever is fished out of the ashes. No experience needed. The Gallery will also be open during this time and this workshop registration also includes free entrance into the gallery.
