Preserving the Harvest - Food Preservation Class

2-4pm Learn the basic techniques of safely canning and freezing foods like jams jellies, pickling, waterbaths, freezing, blanching, and pressure canning. Lisa Barlage of the OSU Ross County Extension Office will present a workshop on preserving your own garden produce. The workshop will include recipes, tips and suggestions. She will explain how to use tools, and touch upon various techniques used in the process of canning. Workshop participates are encouraged to bring their pressure cookers to have then tested for accuracy.
