The British Invation
Jul 12, 2015
The British Invasion describes a time in the 1960s when audiences all across America were singing and dancing to music from across the Atlantic. It began with the arrival of the Beatles in America and continued for several years as British bands dominated the music scene.
Now this era has been recreated with amazing accuracy and excitement. The musical group known as The British Invasion covers the music from all the the English groups. From The Animals to The Zombies, they are all there.
This event was re-scheduled from April 12th all previously purchased tickets will be honored.
Central elements of the Shook Twins sound are a wide range of instrumentation, including banjo, guitar, electric and upright bass, mandolin, electric guitar, electronic drums, face drum (beatbox), glockenspiel, ukulele, banjo drumming and their signature golden EGG.
Beautiful twin harmonies, layered upon acoustic and electric instrumentation coupled with Laurie's inventive use of percussive and ambient vocal loops and Katelyn's re-purposed telephone microphone, set their sound apart, creating a unique and eccentric blend of folk, roots, groove and soul.
