Papermaking for Kids
Dec 14, 2013
11am - 130pm. In this course we will learn all about papermaking, but will focus on simple papermaking that you can do at home using an ordinary kitchen blender, picture frames, scrap paper and junkmail. Students are encouraged to bring dried plants, seeds, and glitter if they would like to add it to their paper. We will have some too but it is nice to bring something from home We will use Tempera paint to color the pulp, and then learn to paint with the colored pulp and decorate using inclusions and additives. At the end of the class papers will labeled by name and left to air dry, and can be picked up the following week and given as gifts. You can do some shopping on the square while you wait. Pack a lunch and we will have snacks.
